The League's Interim Executive Director joined NC Policy Watch's radio program News and Views this week to review the American Rescue Plan, state budget and other key legislation affecting our cities and towns.
"In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. We have a lot of opportunity," Williams told host Rob Schofield. "When we look back on these investments, what will we see?"
Notably, Williams dug into the issue of water and wastewater resiliency in North Carolina, dating the problem back decades to the exodus of industry in rural areas of the state. "The issues we were facing pre-pandemic are still in place," said Williams.
